Welcome to Union Vale Animal Control

Our main focus, as mandated by the State of New York is “ for the purpose of assisting, within the appointing municipality, with the control of dogs and the enforcement of Article 7 of the NYS Agriculture and Markets Law.”

This office typically deals with lost or found dogs, potentially aggressive dogs, and the enforcement of our Union Vale Town Code, Chapter 92 – DOGS.

*** All dogs aged 4 months or older, located, owned, or harbored in the Town of Union Vale must be rabies vaccinated and have a valid (1 year) license through the town of Union Vale. Licenses can be obtained through the Union Vale Town Clerk. *** Town Code prohibits more than 3 dogs per residence.

We do, from time to time, field questions regarding other animals, domestic, farm and wildlife, but this office is not routinely set up to deal with such and are usually handled on a case by case basis, or referred to a more appropriate organization.
