Welcome to Union Vale Animal Control

Our main focus, as mandated by the State of New York is “ for the purpose of assisting, within the appointing municipality, with the control of dogs and the enforcement of Article 7 of the NYS Agriculture and Markets Law.”

This office typically deals with lost or found dogs, potentially aggressive dogs, and the enforcement of our Union Vale Town Code, Chapter 92 – DOGS.

*** All dogs aged 4 months or older, located, owned, or harbored in the Town of Union Vale must be rabies vaccinated and have a valid (1 year) license through the town of Union Vale. Licenses can be obtained through the Union Vale Town Clerk. ***

We do, from time to time, field questions regarding other animals, domestic, farm and wildlife, but this office is not routinely set up to deal with such and are usually handled on a case by case basis, or referred to a more appropriate organization.
