Senior Club

General Information:

The Union Vale Senior Club is a vibrant and welcoming community of neighbors ages 50 and over, gathering at the Union Vale Senior Center in the beautiful setting of Tymor Park. Dedicated to friendship, fun, and staying active, the club offers a wide range of activities, social events, and resources for seniors in our town.

One of its most valued services is Erna’s Medical Closet, which provides walkers, crutches, canes, shower chairs, commodes, weighted blankets, foot massagers, and more to members and local residents in need—free of charge. Donations of gently used equipment are gratefully accepted from individuals and organizations; to donate or borrow, please call (845) 260-0962.

The club calendar is filled with themed Friday gatherings such as Game Day, Sip & Socialize, Crafting & Crocheting/Knitting, guest speakers, potlucks, and holiday celebrations including Valentine’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and the Annual Cookie Swap. Members also enjoy playing Scrabble, mahjong, canasta, dominos, Uno, and a variety of card games. A piano is available for those who wish to share their love of music.

Special traditions include the Monthly Members’ Meeting and Luncheon (held the third Friday of each month) and Birthday Celebrations on the first Friday of each month. The Union Vale Senior Club also proudly hosts a table at the annual Town of Union Vale Community Day.

In 2025, thanks to the generosity of the Town Senior Liaison/Club Vice President, members, and the support of the Union Vale Town Board, the club was awarded a Dutchess County Grant to modernize the Senior Center with new flooring, ceiling updates, and automatic door openers—making the facility even more welcoming and accessible.

The Union Vale Senior Club is a nonprofit social club with a simple mission: to create joy, foster friendships, and keep our senior community active and connected. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, share your talents, or just have fun, we invite you to join the “coolest club in town.”
